The annual
Perfect Woman Competition was established by Bullock Bar
publican Stew Burt & his late wife Liz, in 2002.
After Liz passed away from cancer in 2005, Stew established The
Canlive Charitable Trust to assist people with cancer in The
Central Otago Region and learn self help methods using The
Gawler Philosophy.
In 1975 Ian Gawler had terminal bone cancer. He made a
remarkable recovery and still lives today by using meditation,
organic food, positive thinking and loving support.

In 2009 The Canlive Trust hosts 8 day residential programmes for
people with active cancer and their support people. These
programmes are endorsed by The Gawler Foundation in Australia. A
number of local people were able to attend these programmes
thanks to the generous financial support of this competition.
The Bullock Bar in association with Tui are proud to provide
annual financial support every year to the CanLive Charitable
Trust from the hosting of the Perfect Woman Competition.
If you want to be part of this in any way please contact Stew
