This involves grabbing a ram, tipping him over and putting him into
a shearing position. Time is the sole points criteria for this event
but the ram has to be in a shearing position.
Backing a trailer load of hay
This involves putting a number of hay bales on a trailer attached
to a quad bike . The objective is to back the trailer through a marked
course to a destination point where the hay has to be unloaded into
a neat stack.
Digging a post in
A fence post is dug into the ground to a marked height. Points are
given for how well the post is rammed and how straight the post is
left standing.
Jetboat Sprinting
This event involves jetboating (with an exprienced co-pilot) a set
course on Lake Wanaka. Competitors have to race/weave their way through
a marked Slalom course to a finish line.
Norsewear Style & Personality
Competition
Points out of ten are awarded for style and presentation of clothing.
The competitors are asked several questions by the compares, to give
the judges an insight into their personality.
Singing The Southern Man
song
As a criteria for points contestants have to know the words to the
Southern Man song. Singing ability not taken into account!
